After a few months break more work has been done and these photos will hopefully depict the progress so far on the road to a total restoration of our PA.

Marcus has took over the welding as John is up to his eyes in other work. Marcus has stripped away the rotted area of the nearside front sill end. Now to make up a panel to fit. The inner sill strengthening panel appears to be intact.
Marcus welding in new panel he has just made up.
Now turning his attention to the inside. Quite a bad area this for rotting out, the lower door hinge strengthening bracket will also need replacing.
As you can see the panel Marcus as made up is in place. Fidley piece to shape but i think he has got it as near as he can.
The offside sill end is a lot worse, the whole sill will have to come off because the inner strengthening panel is rotted.
A tinworms eye view here of the inside of the offside sill. The inner panel has rotted all the way along the bottom so surgery is needed.
From underneath it can be seen that the floor edge to the sill is also rotted.
I have ground all the welds off and gradually the previously attached cover sill is coming away.
Almost there. Part of the original sill is there, its surprising how thick the metal is.
And of course where the sill meets under the wheel arch has all rotted. There has been previous repairs in this area which i will be removing.
The end of the scuttle section has had new metal welded into place.
Neat seam welded job made, really pleased with Marcus's work so far.
Well here we are at the 15/12/04 and things are happening again, i was begining to get concerned because i was not getting anything done. Even the parts i have stashed away in my garage have not been touched, at least now this have given me the push i needed to get started again.
